Description

The aim of the ME/IR Course is to instruct pilots to reach the level of proficiency to operate single-pilot multi-engine piston class rating aeroplanes in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). The pilot will be the holder of a PPL(A) or CPL(A) Flight Crew License endorsed with ME class rating and IR rating on it.

Highlights of our ME/IR Course:

  • High levels of standardization and exigence, in accordance with major operators.
  • Practice of the widest variety of situations, including several critical cases you’ll face in reality and in operator admission exams.
  • Performed in new generation Glass cockpit twin-engine P2006T and ELITE S923 FNTP II MCC Simulator Twin Engine Turboprop to focus on the real and complex ME training.
  • Highly experienced instructors.

Upon completion of this ME IR Course:

  • Students obtain an MEP Class Rating, in accordance with FCL regulations.
  • Students obtain a PBN Certificate. All four approaches are included in your course and in your licence: LNAV-VNAV, LNAV, LPV and LP

Course Structure & duration

Theoretical Knowledge & Flight Training

  • 8 hours of ME-IR theoretical knowledge
  • 40 flight hours in FNTP-II simulator
  • 6 flight hours MEP VFR in Tecnam P2006T
  • 15 flight hours MEP IFR in Tecnam P2006T
  • ME/IR exam flight included
  • Duration: 2-3 months, depending on weather conditions

PBN Training included

  • 2h ELITE S923 FNTP II MCC Simulator Twin Engine Turboprop
  • All four approaches included in the course and in your licence: LNAV-VNAV, LNAV, LPV and LP

Enrollment

Standard previous requirements:

  • Hold a PPL(A) or CPL(A) Licence
  • Hold a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Fulfillment of FCL.610 APPENDIX 6 and FCL.725 section 2 subpart H of regulation UE 1178/2011
  • IR Theory Course or ATPL Theory Course completed
  • Level of English knowledge equivalent to ICAO Level 4 or First Certificate of English (internal evaluation required)
  • Be at least 18 years old
