GLOBAL PILOT SHORTAGE OUTLOOK · UNTIL 2038

Projections show that at the current rate of pilots entering the profession there will not be enough pilots to fly the increasing fleet. Massive global pilot shortage is causing desparate airlines to raise salaries. Now, pilots are the currency. With the global fleet doubling in the next 20 years, 550,000 new pilots -645,000 according to Boeing- will be needed over that period.
