INSTRUMENT RATING (IR)

The EASA Instrument Rating (IR) entitles the rating holder to fly in accordance with instrument flight rules (IFR) to CAT I minima (200 feet decision height) in instrumental meteorological conditions (IMC) on a European registered single or multi-engine aircraft. For candidates who have passed the IR/ATPL theoretical examinations, depending on training options, the instrument rating modular courses can be completed between 2-4 weeks.
